Detailed Profiles
- 4-bet your premiums — 7–10% 3-bet is too wide to be all-value. AAxx is a massive favourite vs his range.
- 3-bet or fold his opens — don’t cold-call and give him position cheaply.
- Defend blinds wide vs his 38%+ ATS — 3-bet squeeze with value hands from BB.
- Call down with strong holdings — he barrels wide. Two-pair+ is usually ahead.
- Don’t bluff-raise without blockers — he calls down with reasonable equity.
Preflop OOP: 3-bet his BTN/CO opens from blinds with a wide value range. His 38%+ ATS is highly attackable. He 4-bets back a meaningful portion so be selective.
Flop: Call down with strong holdings in position. He CBets wide. Don’t float without equity. Check-raise strong equity draws.
Turn: Don’t fold two-pair+ to his barrels. He fires turns with speculative equity. Continue with strong made hands and nut draws.
River: Call wide with strong hands. His river bluffing frequency is meaningful. Respect large overbets — they polarise toward nuts or air but his air frequency is real.
- 3-bet wide from position — 2–6% 3-bet back = near-zero 4-bet pressure. Very high fold equity.
- Attack flat-call range postflop — when he calls pre, his range is capped. Probe turns aggressively.
- Respect his 3-bets — value-heavy at this VPIP. Fold non-premiums.
- Float CBets in position — his postflop ranges are predictable. Check-raise with strong equity.
- Steal blinds at normal rate — moderate ATS means he defends but won’t over-defend.
Preflop OOP: Squeeze from blinds when there are callers vs his LP opens. He folds to 3-bets at high frequency given his low 3-bet back.
Flop: Float CBets with equity. His 3–9% gap means some passive holdings in range. Check-raise with strong draws and two-pair+.
Turn: Probe-bet turns when he checks back as PFR — signals genuine weakness. Raise his turn barrels with strong made hands.
River: Value-bet normally. He won’t hero-call light. His rare pot-bets = usually strong.
- Steal his blinds EVERY hand — ATS 18–27% is the lowest in the pool. He almost never retaliates.
- 3-bet his LP opens from blinds — passive profile means he folds or flats. Rarely 4-bets.
- Fold to his 3-bets — value-heavy at 3–5% given his passive profile. Not a light 3-bettor.
- Probe turns when he checks back — his cautious play means check-backs signal genuine weakness.
- Value-bet smaller on rivers — he folds to large bets even with decent holdings.
Preflop OOP: Squeeze vs his LP opens with real value. His very low ATS makes his opens a consistent target. He folds at high frequency to 3-bets.
Flop: Float his CBets with equity in position. He CBets straightforwardly. His wider VPIP/PFR gap creates uncapped postflop ranges.
Turn: Probe-bet freely when he checks. Common with his cautious profile — he checks back weak holdings and folds to turn pressure.
River: Value-bet smaller (50–66% pot). He folds to large bets but calls medium sizing with a range. His river bets = strong.
- Steal his blinds on every single opportunity — ATS 6–12% = almost zero retaliation.
- CBet every board when HU vs him — his fold to CBet is very high.
- Fold immediately to ALL his raises/3-bets — 1–2% 3-bet = exclusively AA/KK type. No exceptions.
- If he’s in a pot, he has something — respect his ranges. 12% VPIP range connects well.
- Counter-trap deep — slow-play strong holdings and let him build pots with his premiums.
Preflop OOP: Check BB freely vs his rare limps. His limp range is still quality (nit limping = strong hands). Fold to his preflop raises.
Flop: CBet all boards HU — his fold to CBet will be very high. When he calls or raises, he has genuine equity. Respect flop aggression immediately.
Turn: If he called the flop, he has real equity — slow down with bluffs. Continue value barrels with strong hands. His turn aggression = very strong.
River: Bet strong made hands. Don’t bluff rivers. His river aggression = nuts. Fold immediately to any river raise.
- Value-bet all three streets without mercy — he calls down with dominated holdings. Two pair = triple barrel.
- NEVER bluff — he does not fold. Period. Bluffing vs calling stations is negative EV.
- Iso-raise his limps at 3.5–4.5x — take position, play flops. He calls everything.
- Fold immediately to his 3-bets (2% = AA/KK only) — any raise = fold.
- River overbet (75–100%) — he calls with more hands than you expect.
Preflop OOP: Check BB vs his limps. Avoid building pots OOP with marginal holdings. Do NOT 3-bet light — he calls everything and puts you in bad spots OOP.
Flop: CBet wide with any pair, any draw, any equity. His limp-call range is all over the map. Never slow-play — build the pot now.
Turn: Continue all value barrels. Give up pure bluffs immediately. Use large sizing on turns completing draws — he calls with second-best draws anyway.
River: Bet 75–100% pot with strong hands. He calls. Never bluff. Fold to any river raise — it’s the nuts.
- 4-bet your premiums vs his 3-bets — high 3-bet with good selectivity. AAxx are still huge favourites.
- Tighten OOP calling range — his positional advantage is formidable. Don’t cold-call.
- Trap OOP — slow-play monsters — let him barrel into your strong hands. His aggression fills the pot.
- Do NOT float him without equity — he applies multi-street pressure. You need real equity to continue.
- 3-bet squeeze from blinds vs his steals — his ATS is very high. Fight back with value.
Preflop OOP: 3-bet his BTN/CO opens from blinds with a strong value range. His high ATS is attackable. Be selective — he 4-bets back a meaningful portion.
Flop: Don’t float without equity. He fires multi-street. Check-call with strong equity and let him build the pot. Check-raise with very strong holdings.
Turn: Don’t fold strong holdings to his barrels. He applies consistent pressure. Continue with two-pair+, nut draws.
River: Call wide with strong hands — his river bluffing exists. Use pot odds carefully. Respect large overbets on the river.
- Steal his blinds constantly — ATS 8–12% = he almost never attacks back. His blind defense is near-zero.
- Iso-raise every limp — his limping range is wide and unprotected. Take position every time.
- FOLD to ALL his raises and 3-bets — 1% 3-bet + 4% PFR = only monsters. He slow-plays constantly.
- Don’t bluff him once he calls — when he’s in a pot and calls down, he has something. His passive calling is intentional.
- Value-bet medium sizing — he folds large bets with marginal holdings but calls medium sizing wide.
Preflop OOP: Check BB freely vs his limps. Don’t build pots OOP. His rare preflop aggression = fold everything but the nuts.
Flop: CBet wide with any equity vs his limps. He slow-plays strong hands. When he raises or leads, respect it immediately — he doesn’t bluff.
Turn: Continue value barrels with strong hands. If he suddenly shows aggression, he’s slow-played a monster. Give up bluffs — when he calls flop he has something.
River: Value-bet medium sizing (50–66% pot). He folds large bets with weak holdings. His river aggression = nuts. Fold non-nut holdings instantly.
- FLAT in position — do NOT 3-bet to thin the field — let him build the pot for you. He bets every street.
- Call down VERY wide with made hands — his range is so wide that two-pair/sets are far ahead.
- 4-bet your absolute premiums — he calls 4-bets too wide. AAxx double-suited = massive EV.
- NEVER bluff him — he does not fold. Only bet for value. Two-pair is strong enough to triple-barrel.
- Slow-play the nuts occasionally — he will bet into your strong hands multiple streets.
Preflop OOP: 4-bet squeeze OOP with premium hands. Your AA/KK-type are huge favourites vs his wide range. When he 3-bets, he has slightly more than usual but still wide — 4-bet premiums.
Flop: Call down with strong holdings — let him lead. He CBets nearly everything. Check-call two-pair+ and strong draws. Only raise when you need immediate stack commitment at short SPR.
Turn: Keep calling with strong holdings. He barrels turns with enormous frequency regardless of equity. Two-pair is almost always ahead of his range.
River: Call wide — his river bluffing and thin-value frequency is extreme. Even marginal strong hands (non-nut flush, bottom set on safe board) are profitable calls vs his range.
- Iso-raise in position and value-bet relentlessly — his starting-hand filter is effectively broken.
- Prioritise nut potential and position — dominated holdings are where this profile loses the most.
- Remove almost all low-equity bluffs — ordinary made hands and draws continue far too often.
- Adjust to his 3-bet frequency — low 3-bet: attack limps/opens; high 3-bet: widen value 4-bets and trap.
- Use large value sizing — second-best hands and weak draws call too much.
Preflop OOP: Stay more selective. If his 3-bet is low, treat sudden reraises as strong. If his 3-bet is high, widen value 4-bets and trap premium hands.
Flop: Bet value and strong equity hard. Do not waste low-equity bluffs against a player who continues too wide.
Turn: Keep charging dominated made hands and draws. Against an aggressive version, allow him to keep betting into your strongest holdings.
River: Value-bet large and thin where appropriate. Deep, demand more nut interaction before playing a huge pot with non-nut holdings.
- Iso-raise every limp at 3.5–4.5x — he limps constantly. Take position every single time.
- Value-bet all three streets without mercy — calls with dominated holdings. Two pair = triple barrel.
- NEVER bluff postflop — his passive calling profile means he doesn’t fold. Don’t try to move him.
- Fold IMMEDIATELY to his 3-bets — 0–2% 3-bet = exclusively AA/KK. Non-negotiable fold.
- River overbet (75–100% pot) — his fold to river bet is very low. Maximise extraction.
Preflop OOP: Check BB vs his limps. Don’t build pots OOP with marginal holdings against his wide range. Never 3-bet light — he calls and you’re OOP.
Flop: CBet wide — any pair, any draw, any equity. His 15–30% gap range is dominated trash. Build the pot now. Never slow-play.
Turn: Continue all value barrels. Give up pure bluffs. Large sizing on turns completing draws — he calls with second-best draws.
River: Bet 75–100% pot with strong hands. He calls wide. Never bluff. Any raise = fold everything.
Facing a 3-Bet — IP vs OOP Response
Stack Depth Adjustments
Shallow (10–40bb)
4-bet shove premiums vs his 3-bets. He calls too wide. Don’t fold strong hands to 3-bets short.
Deep (100bb+)
His aggression is maximised deep — wider coverage. Counter with trapping and calling down strong holdings. Avoid light bluffs deep.
Shallow
His tight range plays accurately. Respect commitments. 3-bet/fold or 3-bet/shove — don’t flat call short and play SPR <3 pots.
Deep
Float more IP. Use later streets. His low 3-bet creates postflop opportunities when he flat-calls. Attack turns and rivers aggressively.
Shallow
Apply pressure vs his wide passive range. He plays better short than fish but still predictable. His low ATS makes shove-fold spots easy.
Deep
His trapping is more dangerous deep. Use his low ATS to steal constantly. His passive style means many pots are won by consistent preflop pressure.
Shallow
Less dangerous short — his trap lines need deep stacks. Apply pressure on connected boards. He may over-commit top set.
Deep
Counter-trap. Slow-play strong holdings and let him build pots with premiums. Steal preflop constantly. He gives up pots to pressure frequently.
Shallow
Pure gift. His passive profile = calls off stacks with dominated holdings. Jam any two-pair+, nut draws, strong flush draws.
Deep
More caution with non-nut holdings. His wide range occasionally hits the nuts. Build pots with strong hands. Don’t slow-play — he won’t build it for you.
Shallow
His wide 3-bet creates short-stack all-in scenarios. 4-bet shove premiums — he calls too wide. Don’t fold premiums to his 3-bets short.
Deep
Trap him deep. Slow-play strong hands and let him barrel all three streets OOP. Do NOT check-raise small — give him rope to hang himself.
Shallow
His tight PFR means he plays conservatively short. His limp-calls short stack = strong implied equity. Don’t jam without clear equity edge.
Deep
His trapping is most dangerous deep. Caution with non-nut holdings in large pots. He slow-plays monsters across multiple streets.
Shallow
Gift at short stacks. He jams too wide. Call off stacks with any two-pair+, nut draws, strong made hands. His range at short stacks = essentially random.
Deep
Trap him deep. Slow-play strong hands and let him barrel all three streets. Pot control is less relevant — his aggression fills the pot for you.
Shallow
Value-jam strong made hands and premium nut draws. Avoid marginal bluff jams — expect very loose calls.
Deep
Demand stronger nut potential before playing huge pots. Trap selected monsters against aggressive versions and do not pay off dominated non-nut holdings lightly.
Shallow
Pure gift. He calls off stacks with dominated hands. Jam any strong equity — two-pair+, nut draws. Short stack = maximum fish exploitation.
Deep
Caution with non-nut holdings. His wide range occasionally connects with the nuts. Build pots with strong hands, pot control with marginal holdings.
